Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)
Easton EMS will be hosting an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), formerly MRT (Medical Response Technician) course. This course will teach you the skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a first responder level. This course is designed for those interested in learning more about becoming a vital role in the emergency medical system.
As an EMR, you will learn the skills needed to provide lifesaving interventions while awaiting additional EMS response. You will assist higher-level providers on the scene and during transport.
This 60+ hour course will cover the following topics:
- Respiratory Emergencies
- Cardiac Problems
- CEVO Training
This exciting, yet demanding course will be taught through academic lecture as well as on-line lectures along with hands on and practical applications. Student will be required to have on-line access for all assignments and tests, as well as interactive learning.
Class begins on Monday, February 25, 2019 and will run through Monday, April 1, 2019. Class will be held every Monday and Wednesday from 6:00pm to 9:30pm and 2 (two) Sunday classes (TBD).
