Easton Volunteer Emergency Medical Services (EVEMS) is hosting our second annual Charity Motorcycle Ride with a Classic Car Show on August 20th, 2022 with a rain date on the following day. Last year’s event raised roughly $10,000.00 and brought us that much closer to our goal of replacing our 93 year old headquarters.
Since 1946, when the organization was created, we have been in the same building (originally built in 1928); repairs and maintenance have proven to be more costly than replacement and all too time-consuming. Our current building requires us to special order ambulances because our garage bays are too small to fit a standard ambulance. Our organization has grown and our current headquarters can not support the resources critically needed to fulfill our mission.
Our motorcycle ride will be escorted by police and ambulance while in Easton. It will be a 36-mile ride going through neighboring communities. Participants will have access to local foods trucks in the morning and after the ride. There will be plenty of chances to show your support through signing up for the ride and donning your very own EMS charity ride shirt, as well as purchasing raffle tickets for various gift baskets.
Your $20 entry fee gets you a custom EMS shirt. Any other sponsorships, or contributions can be applied towards your personal donations or raffle tickets for some of the gift baskets.
Cars are welcome to arrive as early as 9 a.m. to set up. For bikes, arrival time is at 10 a.m. with kickstands up at 11 a.m. The ride will begin and end at Samuel Staples Elementary School, located at 515 Morehouse Road in Easton.
We look forward to seeing all of you.
