On August 21st, 2019, our day crew, EMTs Pete Fiore and Josh Meszaros, along with EMT Peg Shukie, took time out to visit the kids at the Easton Community Center who have been attending day camp this summer. The kids always enjoy our visits. They ask the most interesting questions!
Throughout the month of August, EMT Josh Meszaros has helped Easton EMS partner with the Easton Public Library to reward students who completed their summer reading program. They have been awarded the honor of becoming “EMT for the day”. Josh has given tours of our building and equipment to 3 different groups this summer. When September rolls around, one student will also be lucky enough to get a ride to school in the ambulance!
On August 5th, 2019, 6 of our EMTs conducted a Blood Pressure screening at the Easton Senior Center. Our members met with approximately 20 seniors, checked blood pressures and explained a little of what to expect when EMS is activated through 911. We hope to make this a monthly visit.
