EMR Training – POSTC Curriculum

We are pleased and honored to announce FCPTOA has partnered with Easton Emergency Medical Services to provide all EMR POSTC Curriculum Training.

Easton Emergency Medical Services has been providing Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) training for over two years, tailored to the police department’s needs.   During this time, Easton EMS has worked with over 12 different departments, providing professional and affect training with a over a 95% EMR pass rate, achieving our one mutual goal.

All of our training is one-on-one and solely for your department.  Registration is an “on a rolling enrollment basis”.  No need to wait for a “scheduled” class any longer, affording departments the opportunity to begin EMR program at any time.  I am proud of the programs we currently offer, but pleased to announce our new training programs.
What we offer:
Initial EMR Training – Easton is one of the few locations that offer a two week blended EMR program approved by State of CT OEMS.    The EMR program is scheduled as an “on a rolling basis”. We can schedule a program within a day and offer three different program lengths.  Two, three or four weeks.  The course is scheduled around the department’s needs and is a one-on-one training.
EMR Recertification Programs (New  –  EMR blended recertification program.  Our EMR blended program consists of online assignments and in-person skill review.  Whether you need to send one person or five, we specialize and personalized training based on your needs.  The program will consist of 12 hours on-line, then a four hour in-person session as required by the State of CT for skills training.  We will submit all the recertification process/paperwork for completion.  You will also receive POSTC recertification credits for the 304, 304A and 608B.
EMT Recertification Programs (New) –  EMT blended recertification program.  Our EMT blended program consists of online assignments and in-person skill review.  Whether you need to send one person or five, we specialize and personalized training based on your needs.  The program will consist of 36 hours on-line and  four hours in-person, as required by the State of CT for skills training.  We will submit all the recertification process/paperwork for completion.  You will also receive POSTC recertification credits for the 304, 304A and 608B.
Prior Initial EMR Training (New) – We now offer EMR Initial training PRIOR to your candidate graduating from the academy OR  prior to starting with your department.  We know with the new standards and changes, obtaining your candidate’s EMR may become challenging.  Our program is still a minimum of two weeks and can be completed prior to the candidate’s graduation or start date with your department.
State Practical Testing Site – As you know, the EMR certification requires you pass both the practical/hands-on training as well as the written exam, if needed.  We are a certified State Practical Testing site as well, offering State practical testing for every student at the end of their program.  We handle all paperwork and assist the candidate with all applications and testing registrations, and most importantly, continue the follow-up with both the State of CT and NREMT.  This sometimes can be challenging in and of itself.
